Terms and conditions

Acceptance

These terms apply when you access levelitup.tech, use materials published by LevelIT UP AV and IT Solutions (“LevelIT UP”, “we”, “us” or “our”), or install or use the ChannelUP application (“ChannelUP” or the “App”). By doing so, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant website, material or App.

ChannelUP

ChannelUP is an electronic program guide and live television interface for compatible LG webOS televisions and HDHomeRun network tuners. It does not supply television channels, broadcasts, licences, internet access, an antenna service or an HDHomeRun device. You are responsible for your equipment, network, reception, subscriptions and lawful access to content.

Compatibility and third-party services

ChannelUP depends on compatible hardware, television firmware, local network conditions, broadcast data and services operated by third parties including Silicondust. Features, guide data and playback may be unavailable, delayed or inaccurate because of circumstances outside our control. We may change, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

Licence and acceptable use

You may use ChannelUP and this website for their intended lawful purposes. You must not interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorised access to supporting systems, submit malicious material, or use them in a way that infringes another person’s rights. Open-source components remain governed by their applicable licences.

Updates

We may provide updates that add, modify or remove features or alter compatibility requirements. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Subject to those rights, the website and ChannelUP are provided on an “as available” basis.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or ChannelUP. This includes interrupted viewing, unavailable guide information, loss of locally stored preferences, device incompatibility or reliance on third-party services.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the courts having jurisdiction in New South Wales.

ChannelUP privacy statement

Scope

This statement describes information handled by ChannelUP, its optional diagnostic and feedback services, and this website. ChannelUP does not require a LevelIT UP user account and does not include advertising or third-party behavioural analytics.

Information kept locally by ChannelUP

ChannelUP stores information on your television so that the App can operate and remember your choices. Depending on the App version and features used, this may include:

  • HDHomeRun discovery details, including the tuner identifier, local IP address and base URL;
  • channel lineup and cached electronic program guide data;
  • favourites, channel ordering, guide mappings, reminders and the last selected channel;
  • audio, subtitle, appearance, search, display and guide preferences; and
  • technical caches used for channel logos, program images and broadcast guide matching.

This information is normally held in webOS local storage or the television’s local database. It is not routinely sent to LevelIT UP. It may be removed by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App, subject to the behaviour of your television platform.

Routine network communication

For its core functions, ChannelUP communicates directly with your HDHomeRun tuner over your local network. It may also contact Silicondust-operated HDHomeRun discovery and guide services to locate a tuner or obtain program information. Requests to internet services necessarily disclose technical connection information such as your public IP address and user agent to the service operator. Silicondust’s handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Optional diagnostic reports

ChannelUP only sends a diagnostic report to LevelIT UP when you explicitly confirm submission in the App. The report may include:

  • submission time, App version, build information and the active App screen;
  • HDHomeRun identifier, model, firmware, friendly name and local network URL;
  • the television’s LGUDID, model, serial number, firmware, SDK and operating-system information;
  • network status details made available by webOS, which may include local IP and MAC addresses, connection type, DNS and gateway details;
  • current channel, stream URL, playback state, audio and subtitle track metadata;
  • tuner status, signal information, EIT/EPG scanner statistics and subtitle-pipeline diagnostics;
  • the names and sizes of local storage entries, but not their stored values; and
  • error, performance and service-status information used to investigate faults.

Some of these fields are stable device identifiers or network identifiers and may be personal information when linked to you. Diagnostic reports are used only to provide support, diagnose faults, improve ChannelUP and meet security or legal obligations.

Feedback and contact information

After submitting diagnostics, you may use the linked feedback form. We collect the description you provide, an optional email address, submission time and browser user agent. Cloudflare also processes your IP address for rate limiting and Turnstile verification. If you provide an email address, we use it to send confirmation and respond to your request. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information in feedback.

Storage, recipients and retention

Diagnostic reports and associated feedback are processed using Cloudflare services, including Workers, D1, KV, R2, Turnstile and Email Routing. Authorised LevelIT UP personnel may access reports for support and maintenance. Reports and attached feedback are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Short-lived rate-limit records expire automatically. Support notification emails and subsequent correspondence may remain in our business email records for longer where reasonably required to respond, maintain records or comply with law.

We do not sell ChannelUP diagnostic information or use it for advertising. Cloudflare, Silicondust, LG and other service providers may process information in Australia or other countries under their own terms and privacy practices.

This website

This website does not currently provide user accounts, advertising or a contact form. When you visit, Cloudflare may process standard web request and security information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and request time. The site also requests web fonts from Google Fonts, which allows Google to receive ordinary connection information. Contacting us by email provides us with your email address and the contents of your message.

Security and choices

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Diagnostic submission is optional. You can decline it and still use ChannelUP’s normal functionality.

Access, correction and deletion

You may contact us to ask whether we hold information about you, request access or correction, or ask us to delete a diagnostic report or feedback. Include the diagnostic report ID where available. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where required or permitted by law.

Children

ChannelUP is a general-audience television utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.

Privacy changes or complaints

We may update this statement when ChannelUP’s functionality or service providers change. Privacy questions or complaints can be sent to [email protected]. We will review and respond within a reasonable period.
